A Postcard from Dubai

โ€˜Khazzanzโ€™ is inspired by the iconic Khazzan park water tower, a blue ribbed drum on stilts, part utility, part accidental landmark. It watched over childhood games, shaded afternoons, and the slow growth of the city. Khazzanz recalls its simple, solid form and the quiet nostalgia of a dubai before the rush.

The graphic is reimagined from the view of a child looking up, neck craned toward the sky, tracing the towerโ€™s vertical ribs to where they meet its rounded crown. This upward perspective transforms the structure into something monumental, almost otherworldly, while still grounded in everyday memory. Its geometry is softened with the hazy warmth of recollection, capturing how familiar shapes from youth remain in the mind, slightly blurred, yet deeply imprinted.

In this translation, the water tower becomes more than infrastructure; it becomes a keeper of time, a marker of space, and a reminder of a slower, gentler city.
